Sligo Education Centre aims to provide support to teachers and the wider education community, and to be an accessible and welcoming place of learning, reflection and social interaction.
Welcome to our website, the aim of which is to provide an on-line service for the teachers of Sligo and surrounding areas.Through this website we hope to provide access to the Education Centre's resources and to keep teachers informed of up coming events and courses available to them here in the Sligo Education Centre.

POST PRIMARY NQTs undergoing the Droichead process of Induction:
From September 2016, NQTs who are engaging in the Droichead process must attend one cluster meeting per term more  
Cluster 1, which is a compulsory element of Strand B

Primary Science Fair 2017 more
The call for Expressions of Interest for the RDS Primary Science Fair 2017 is now open and will close on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.  Full details, including an information booklet and the online form, are available at

Sligo Instrument Bank Funding Scheme Now Open more
Music Generation Sligo has announced its annual funding scheme, this year worth €20,000 for schools and youth/music organisations to expand or create new musical instrument banks. The scheme is set to benefit hundreds of
young people under the age of 18 in Sligo.

The EU has designated October 15th ­ 23rd as Code Week 2016.
