"Herstory"- Women In History

This course is being organised to mark the 100th Anniversary of the achievement of women’s suffrage 1918.
Apart from focussing on the suffragette campaign in Ireland, Britain and  beyond, the course provides a good overview of the range of involvements of women in the period from 1912 onwards -
Lockout, 1916 Rising, working in factories during WWI, Cumann na mBan, Sinn Féin etc.
The changing role of women in everyday life, education and society.There should be opportunities for examining Herstory through online digital sources & local history in various part of the country
The course will also illustrate how Herstory can be explored through Storytelling, Art & Craft, Music etc.

Holistic Approach to Inclusion for Pupils with Autism

The course will address teaching and intervention strategies appropriate for students with autism.  
Teachers will
·have a greater understanding of how to write appropriate and relevant education plans for pupils and students with Autism.
·understand how to connect assessments, with education planning and interventions to create child centred approaches to teaching pupils with autism and to ensure effective inclusion.
Participants will reflect on their own practice in the classroom and whole school level and develop policies to support implementation of Autism friendly approaches to ensure inclusion.

Participants will understand how:
·the core features of sensory processing affect learners with Autism
·to analyse challenging behaviour to make accommodations for the learner with autism
·to bring together knowledge on the core features of autism to  effectively plan and include the child with Autism.

Developing Mindfulness & Wellbeing in Primary School Children

An opportunity to explore the nature and essence of learning and teaching in a relaxed, fun and creative environment focusing on the social, personal and healthy wellbeing of the teacher and the child.
Participants will explore:
·simple exercises to create a harmonious classroom environment.
·enhancing your communication Skills
·working as a team
