Promoting Character Strengths in the Classroom
October 5th (7pm)
Facilitator: Fiona Forman
Character Strengths are one of the pillars of Positive Psychology, which is the science of well-being. 24 Character Strengths have been identified (Peterson & Seligman, 2004), including optimism, gratitude, bravery, perseverance, creativity, emotional intelligence, curiosity and perspective.
They are the elements of our personalities which help us to live a happy, meaningful and fulfilling life.
Identifying and then using our Character Strengths is associated with a wide range of benefits including increased self-confidence, vitality and better relationships.
This webinar will outline the 24 Character Strengths, along with ways for teachers to develop them in the classroom.
