An understanding of the sounds of the English language is crucial for teachers in order to teach young children how to read in the most efficient way possible.
In this webinar, we will look at the knowledge and tools required by teachers in order to deliver effective phonics instruction for beginning readers. We will explore the consonant and vowel sounds of English and how they are spelled

To become skilled readers, children must master the difficult concept of connecting print to sounds. They need to be explicitly taught the alphabetic code of the English language.
In this webinar, we will take a deep dive into evidence-based phonics instruction. What exactly do we need to teach and what does that look like in a real classroom?

You’ve taught the letters; now what? There is a lot more to Phonics instruction than simply learning the alphabet!
In this webinar, we will look at how to move children along from letter identification to building their permanent sight word memory and becoming proficient at writing.
