Managing Challenging Behaviour -Respond rather than React
Sept 6th (7pm)
All behaviour is communication and feelings drive behaviours.
Debbie Cullinane will outline ways in which we can Respond to the behaviour, rather than React.
She will discuss how to build consistent boundaries and give a feeling of safety and trust, so the children can thrive in the classroom environment.
There will be discussion on Gary Landreth’s A.C.T Model to help to deal with big feelings and Dr. Dan Siegel’s “Name it to Tame it”.
Debbie will give ideas for supporting regulation, so you can establish a safe learning environment that will help all of the children flourish.
