Con
Tutti- Creating a Music Session for Children with Autism & SEN
Music is such an important part
of each child’s development. It has a way of nurturing each child’s innate
ability to communicate and allows each child to express themselves through
sound and movement in a structured way.
This Webinar will offer a
practical method on how to develop music sessions in primary settings for
children with Autism which can also be adapted to other children with special
educational needs.
This session will tell you how,
when, and where to create your music session, how to structure your music
session and practical demonstrations of songs and activities teachers can use
in this setting. The activities are geared towards primary school children, in
particular the younger age category 4-10, but can be further progressed and
developed to respond to the upper age category.
Delivered by Roisin Egan one of
the Authors of ‘Con Tutti Music Education & Autism’ written in partnership
with St. Angela’s CSENID and Music Generation Sligo and Giulia Tesoriero Music
Educator with Music Generation Sligo. Both will bring years of experience
delivering and designing music programmes for children with SEN and Autism in
Sligo.
