PDST Training- Post Primary
Transition Year Stem Pilot Project
Dear teacher / principal,
You are all very welcome back to the new school year and we hope you had a lovely summer break.
We are delighted to announce that we have partnered up with ESERO Ireland in association with SFI Vista Milk and Teagasc to bring an exciting new TY project where students are challenged to make a difference in understanding and protecting earth's climate, whilst developing key scientific and 21st century skills which are essential as they move into senior cycle.
These skills provide a foundation for successful learning in schools, and also help to ensure students are successful outside the classroom, in real-life scenarios and future workplaces where change is inevitable.
For the duration of the project you will be supported by high quality teacher CPD in STEM and student workshops, support visits to your school by a PDST STEM advisor, advice from climate scientists and specialists and a visit to a state-of-the-art SFI-funded Research Centre.
If your school is interested in taking part in this project, please complete the expression of interest (EoI) here by the 2nd of September.
Kindest regards,
PDST STEM Team
